Demo's are quick, easy and fast to make. Bands give them to club owners with the hope of getting a gig. The club owner may pop it in, give it a short listen, maybe advance a couple of songs and done.
The quality is not that important. These recordings are generally mono, flat, and contain none of the elements that bring out the emotion, reach your soul, fill the room from the floor to the ceiling, from in your face to the back of the room. A sound that engages your emotion, infiltrates your soul and leaves you thinking of that song for hours sometime days. The process is different than making a demo, requires special talents and knowledge from dedicated professionals.
